About Sylvester

Walking into a room to see a student staring at a complex geometry problem reminds me why I enjoy this work. I focus on trigonometry, mensuration, and linear algebra while helping students navigate word problems and SAT or ACT math prep.

My MEng from Oxford allows me to teach competition math and mental math using efficient strategies. I break down these concepts until they are almost insultingly small to ensure foundational mastery. Watching a student move from confusion to competence remains the most rewarding part of my week.

About the lesson

You will find that these sessions prioritise accuracy by using mock tests with error analysis before exams. I apply my 8 years of experience to identify exactly where your logic breaks down during linear algebra or complex problem solving. We spend time on specific strategies to ensure you stop losing marks on simple errors. I lean on my academic background to keep these sessions precise and project oriented for your success.

You might find that my approach to problem solving changes how you view math for the rest of your life. This analytical focus is what I enjoy most about teaching.
