About Vanessa
My passion for mathematics grew from an interest in logical systems and computational problem solving. This led me to earn a B.Sc in Computational Mathematics, where I explored how mathematical models support technology and applied sciences. Over 10 years of teaching, I have guided students in developing confidence through clarity, consistency, and encouragement. I believe effective mathematics teaching requires understanding each learner’s perspective. Many students struggle due to gaps in foundational knowledge rather than lack of ability. I focus on identifying these gaps and rebuilding understanding carefully, using multiple explanation approaches to ensure clarity. Beyond teaching, I continue engaging with mathematics through applied modeling, independent study, and analytical reading. Teaching mathematics is meaningful to me because I see students transform their mindset, realizing they are capable of reasoning through complex problems successfully.
