About Kristen
I am a mathematics professor with 28 years of experience teaching middle schoolers, high schoolers and college students. Half of those years I have taught adults who want to teach mathematics themselves. My main strength is finding my students' misconceptions and giving my students strategies to fix them.

I love teaching mathematics to students who struggle with different mathematical concepts. I believe that students can only learn and remember procedures or ways to solve problems once they understand the concepts behind the procedures. So I focus my teaching on helping students understand the concepts behind the mathematics first.
