About Nova
My passion for mathematics began with exploring patterns and solving problems that initially seemed impossible. This curiosity led me to pursue an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I studied algebra, geometry, analysis, and modeling. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided students from elementary school math to middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and strong analytical skills. I teach with patience, structured guidance, and adaptability, using visual examples, stepwise explanations, and real-life analogies to make abstract concepts tangible. I encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and persistence, creating a supportive environment for learners to grow. Outside teaching, I continue exploring new mathematical strategies, analytical tools, and educational technologies to enrich lessons. Watching students move from uncertainty to mastery and develop genuine enthusiasm for mathematics is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

From there, we progress to middle school math, covering fractions, ratios, percentages, introductory algebra, and geometry. Step-by-step explanations, interactive examples, and real-life applications help learners develop conceptual understanding and confidence while fostering analytical thinking.
Intermediate lessons explore linear equations, functions, coordinate geometry, and multi-step word problems. I incorporate SAT math strategies to enhance efficiency, problem interpretation, and logical reasoning. Students practice applying techniques to unfamiliar scenarios, strengthening their problem-solving skills. Exercises combine reasoning, analysis, and conceptual mastery, preparing learners for both exams and real-world application.
Advanced lessons focus on higher-order algebra, geometric proofs, data analysis, and mathematical modeling. Students learn to evaluate multiple solution paths, justify reasoning, and approach complex problems independently. My teaching emphasizes clarity, patience, and encouragement, ensuring students develop skill, self-confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for mathematics.
