About Jack
I spent three years studying physics at Imperial College London, and two years teaching English privately. In this time, I have come to have a great love of teaching, and I want to teach what I love- physics. I did my dissertation on invisibility in both space and time (which is as confusing as it sounds!) and was proud to receive a First in this.
I loved quantum physics especially, because the maths is entirely unique and interesting.
One thing I can't wait to see is my students making progress. I love seeing them grow in both competence and confidence.

Different students have different ways of thinking and as such may require a concept explained from multiple approaches. I am very patient and eager to think about things in new ways.
In a standard lesson, I will present the topic for the day which will be catered to the student's needs and abilities. We will go through the core principles and some guided examples, before letting the student show off what they've learned. Lots of different examples will be given to provide the student with a well-rounded and adaptable ability.
I have 2 years' of experience teaching English to both children and adults and have always been helping out my friends with their maths and physics. I volunteer locally to help school children who are struggling with their maths and physics which brings me great joy.
