About Priya
With over 28+ years of experience in the education sector, I transitioned to freelancing to deliver exceptional results with my team. In the past 7 years, my students achieved impressive SAT scores such as 1590/1600, 1580/1600, 1540/1600, 1530/1600, and more. I specialize in online tutoring for SAT, AP Calculus BC/AB, TMUA and ESAT, and offer comprehensive guidance for admission to top universities worldwide.
For the past four years, I have been preparing and mentoring students from the UK and other parts of the world for UK university admission exams such as TMUA, ESAT, and MAT. In ESAT, we have a team that prepares students for all the subjects they choose. Mathematics 1 is compulsory for all students, and they can choose two additional subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics 2. You can select any two subjects, and we will mentor you accordingly. I also provide coaching for MAT (Mathematics Admission Test).

My teaching method
I believe math isn't about memorizing formulas — it's about understanding why things work. My approach is simple: I take each student where they are, find the exact point where things stopped making sense, and rebuild their confidence from there. I explain every concept in plain language, use real-life examples, and break big problems into small, manageable steps so nothing feels overwhelming.
I'm patient, I never make a student feel silly for asking a question, and I keep going until the idea truly clicks.
A typical lesson
Every session is tailored, but most follow a clear rhythm:
1. We start with a quick recap of the last topic, so the foundation stays strong.
2. I introduce the new concept with a clear explanation and worked examples.
3. We solve problems together, with me guiding the student's thinking rather than just giving answers.
4. The student then tries problems independently while I observe and correct gently.
5. We finish by reviewing key takeaways, and I assign focused practice to reinforce the lesson.
What sets me apart
I have more than 3 decades of total experience with 18+ years of experience helping students of different continents online go from struggling to scoring well. I specialize in making weak students fall in love with math. I focus on board exam strategy and time management, not just theory. More than anything, I genuinely care that my students improve — and I track their progress so we can both see it.
