About Lisa
I genuinely loved Maths growing up and I want to share that experience with you. There is nothing quite like the moment something finally clicks — when a concept that felt impossible suddenly makes complete sense and you get the answer. That feeling is what I want every student to experience.
With over a year of tutoring experience and a continued excellence in Mathematics throughout my own academic journey (recognised by the Jack McCormack Award for Excellence in Mathematics) I have the knowledge and experience to guide you through whatever you are finding difficult.
My sessions are a safe space to ask questions, make mistakes and push yourself at your own pace. I am patient, punctual and reliable, and I pride myself on creating a comfortable learning environment without the pressure of an overly strict classroom.

I offer in-person Maths tuition for students aged 6–13 across KS2, KS3 and 11+ preparation, with a focus on building genuine understanding and confidence rather than passive memorisation. My sessions are typically one hour long and tailored entirely to where the student is in their learning journey. I start by identifying gaps in foundational knowledge and build back up from there, using a patient, step-by-step approach until the concept clicks.
I hold a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Coventry University and I am currently a postgraduate student at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art, studying MSc/MA Innovation Design Engineering. I have over a year of experience teaching Maths to students aged 6–13 through Fine Tutors in West London, working in both one-to-one and group settings.
I am local to Hanwell and available for sessions in the surrounding areas.
