About Minura
I remember back when I was in secondary school that I struggled a lot in Mathematics despite having a tutor. I was taught in a way that was led to superficial learning and although I would get more answers correct, I was still left with a lot of unanswered questions. My aim is to tailor my teaching approach to each student to allow them to understand topics in their entirety within a friendly, easy-going environment where the student feels comfortable to make mistakes and learn.

My lessons will range from anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending what the student is happy with. I work with kids from KS2 to GCSE level in Maths, Chemistry and Biology. I will typically start of my session by looking at an area of subject that the student is uncomfortable with, this can be attained by both asking the student and seeing how they manage with various topics by doing an initial assessment. From there we will work on the theory behind how we reach the correct answer, before looking into the specifics of how to answer the question for the corresponsing exam board. Then I will set some homework that covers what was learned and a few questions just to push the student.
I have attained 3 A* and 6 As at my GCSE level and then went on to get 1A* and 2 A*s at my A levels before going off to study medicine at St Georges.
