About Adam
I am a Michigan State University Food Science graduate. I have experience as a teaching assistant in a communications course but my best subjects are chemistry and biology. I'd also be happy to help with Algebra, Geometry, test prep, speeches/presentations, and papers.
I can help you with any level of high school chemistry or biology and 100 level chemistry and biology college courses. I may be able to help with higher levels in these subjects on a case-by-case basis, so don't be afraid to ask.

My teaching style is flexible based on the needs of my student. My approach is to take questions and let the student direct the lesson. I don't always know the answer, but I almost always know how to find the answer. I want to help you untangle tricky concepts and take away some of the stress and fear that can accompany chemistry homework and big, nasty papers.
With Chemistry and Math, a typical lesson would start with a discussion to answer questions and identify specific concepts that you're struggling with. Usually the approach that works for most students is working through practice problems together. I can also assist with research papers, essays, and lab reports by helping you find sources, organize evidence, outline, and really anything else you need help with in regards to writing.
