About Kiera
My name is Kiera, and I am an MSc graduate in Microbiology and Immunology with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in biological research. I am passionate about helping students develop a strong understanding of science while building the confidence to approach challenging material independently.
Throughout my academic career, I have developed strong skills in communication, problem-solving, scientific analysis, and teaching. I have experience explaining complex scientific concepts in both academic and laboratory settings, and I understand how important it is to create a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and learn from mistakes.
I take pride in being patient, approachable, and dependable. Every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their individual needs and adapt my lessons accordingly. Whether you are looking to improve your grades, prepare for an upcoming exam, catch up on difficult material, or simply feel more confident in biology, I am here to help you reach your goals.

My name is Kiera, and I am an MSc graduate in Microbiology and Immunology with extensive experience in biology, laboratory research, and scientific communication. My goal as a tutor is to make challenging concepts easier to understand by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps and adapting my teaching style to each student’s needs.
My lessons are personalized and interactive. I begin by identifying the student’s goals, areas of difficulty, and current understanding of the material. From there, I explain concepts using simple language, diagrams, examples, and practice questions, while encouraging students to ask questions and work through problems themselves. A typical lesson may include a brief review of previous material, introduction of a new concept, guided practice, and a final review to reinforce key ideas.
What sets me apart is my combination of strong academic training and hands-on research experience. My MSc research has required me to understand complex biological processes, analyze scientific data, troubleshoot experiments, and communicate scientific concepts clearly. I bring that same approach to tutoring by focusing not only on memorization, but on helping students understand how and why concepts work.
I offer tutoring primarily for high school students studying biology and related sciences, as well as undergraduate students who need additional support with introductory biology, microbiology, immunology, or related courses. I am happy to work with students who want to strengthen their understanding, prepare for exams, complete assignments, or build greater confidence in science.
