About Mitchell
I am a Physics tutor with over four years of teaching experience and an MSc in Nuclear Physics. I enjoy connecting core physics principles with geophysics and earth sciences to make learning deeper and more meaningful. My lessons often explore plate tectonics, seismic waves, and climate physics through a strong physics foundation. I help students understand how forces, energy, and matter shape our dynamic planet.
I teach Earth’s internal structure using wave behavior and material properties. Atmospheric dynamics are explained through thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy balance models. Geological processes become clearer when students work with real data, graphs, and simple simulations. I encourage analytical thinking by using models to explain natural phenomena.
I have worked closely with environmental science students who want a strong physics base. I also support learners interested in planetary science and Earth-like systems beyond our planet. My goal is to help students grow into confident, well-rounded physicists with a clear understanding of the living, changing Earth.

My teaching approach in Physics is systematic, clear, and student-focused. I break complex ideas into simple steps so macroscopic behavior becomes easy to understand. I teach thermodynamics, heat transfer, states of matter, gas laws, kinetic theory, calorimetry, and phase transitions in a connected way. Every concept is linked to real-life examples and practical observations. I strongly believe Physics is best learned by seeing and testing ideas, not just memorizing formulas.
I use hands-on demonstrations, simple experiments, and smart use of tools to make lessons engaging and meaningful. Students learn how energy flows, transforms, and explains natural processes. I give regular feedback so learners know their strengths and where to improve. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities. I support students closely in exams, assignments, and concept mastery. My goal is to help them gain confidence, think logically, and truly excel in Physics.
