I'll explain things in a fun and informative way. That can be understood simply for example there are four stages of a cell's life cycle G1, Synthesis, G2, and Mitosis. G1 is basically the cell's prime. It's still growing and it's still performing its functions perfectly. Synthesis is basically a cell replicating its DNA in preparation for cell division. G2 is basically the cell checking itself for any errors and preparing for mitosis. Mitosis is the replication of the nucleus. The nucleus is basically the inner core of the cell that contains all the DNA, but after mitosis there's still a little bit more to do you still have to replicate everything that's outside the core of the cell which is the process called cytokinesis.
