About Nadine
My name is Nadine, and I am passionate about English and English literature and teaching writing and literature analysis. I have eight years of experience as an editor, helping people perfect their writing without losing their authorial voice and becoming carbon copies of each other. I want to share my love of poetry and literature with younger people because I learned how literary analysis could help understand the past, present, and people in general. Did you know that the first records of psychological research can be found in fiction? People writing about people is a millennia-old practice used to understand each other, oneself, and society. I have experience working with LMS programs and strong computer literacy, including a working knowledge of program suites like Office 365, Google Suite, and Slack.

I like to connect with students and discern what learning style works best for them - memorising is ineffective if you want to understand! I am proficient in Afrikaans and English (Home language level) and am confident teaching RP (Received Pronunciation or "typically British" pronunciation) and writing to any level of student. My lessons aim to teach literature and poetry analysis, which I specialise in. I can teach essay writing at any level with writing exercises and constructive criticism on creative and academic writing.
