About Dean

My name is Dean Marino and I am a NYC-based actor, director, and theater educator. For the last ten years, I have had the opportunity to work around the globe; sharing my passion for the Arts with students and audiences of all ages.

I've performed in regional houses across the nation, sailed with Disney Cruise Line as a performer, taught students (in China, Italy, and America), and have also directed immersive theater.

As someone who auditions regularly and has watched a multitude of auditions, I have experienced what happens when authenticity is missing in a performance. It could be because of nerves or a lack of direction. By creating this coaching studio, I have sought to help performers of all ages discover their artistic skills. It is my goal to guide actors through each new piece; using my knowledge in acting, directing and teaching.

I'm passionate about all actors having a safe space to make mistakes, grow, and gain confidence for upcoming auditions and productions.

About the lesson

Our sessions together are focused on your needs as an artist. Together, we will work through your repertoire and audition material, to ensure you are your most authentic self onstage.

The pillars of my studio are:

GROWTH: Honing your strengths and nurturing the areas for improvement.

ARTISTRY: Discovering the nuances and significance of each song/scene/monologue.

CONFIDENCE: Preparing for auditions and trusting in your abilities.

SUPPORT: Someone who is here to boost morale and ensure you are your most authentic self
