About Mona
Hi! I’m Mona. A little about me; I’ve been an English tutor for 3 years now. I’ve always been kind of a literature nerd and can finish a typical contemporary novel in a day. It’s no surprise then that I’ve decided to take on teaching English literature and language. Be it Shakespeare, Dickens, Priestley, Eyre, or a language analysis breakdown that can drive you a little nuts; I’ve honed this craft so that the complex ideas aren’t so complex anymore and what’s dull turns interesting. I would love the opportunity to teach you and of course, get you the grades you want.

I’ve been a tutor for KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature for three years now. Before that, I was a content writer for a travel ad company. A lesson typically spans 50 minutes to an hour. During this time, I like to go through a topic as thoroughly as possible and tailor it to the kid to the best of my abilities. This means sometimes I use an online whiteboard they can connect to to break down complex topics, other times we go through a pdf that lays out analyses in detail, or maybe even start off with a few visual examples like drawings or videos to get a better understanding of the topic. Whatever they need, I do my best to explain things in ways they can understand. I don’t like believing someone is unteachable because they’re not. Likely, they just need the right amount of patience and a little push to get them where they need to be.
