About Mira
I struggled a lot in my English lessons, particularly when it came to essay writing. I found grammar rules to be pedantic and the verbosity of classic literature difficult to parse. That was until I met Ms R. She transformed my passion for English, and I wanted the opportunity to do that for someone else.
That’s why I started tutoring on and off nearly a decade ago.

English lessons can be challenging for a number of reasons! Whether you are a native speaker or a new learner, there are exceptions to spelling and grammar rules, new etiquette for each essay style, and literary vocabulary which changes through time.
My approach is to help you understand the mechanics of the language so you can build skills that take you further! That being said, I’m flexible. While I’m always happy to review Latin and Greek roots to support your spelling, I’m more than happy to review a singular piece of writing, e.g. for an application or a class assignment.
