About Renier
I've been baking since a child, and grew up becoming a chef. Pastry is my passion. I love the smell of baked bread, the crackling of the crust as it comes from the oven, together with the smell of fresh brewed coffee, , ,I think that's what keeps me passionate.
In the 17 years of my career, I've trained a few staff under me, seeing me as an inspiration to grow within the pastry and baking. They always admire how I show them how easy it is, and that the sky is the limit within pastry and baking. It all depends on how creative you can be. Some of those students today, has ended up being an inspiration to me, teaching me new things.

Available in Afrikaans and English to all levels and ages.
The first 30mins together we discuss what you would like to learn. Whether it be on my list or something from your own.
From there I create a lesson upon your skill and knowledge and according to your desires.
below are a few examples of what I can teach you. But the possibilities are endless.
Breads - Baguette, Sour dough, Buns, Seed Loaf
Cakes - Carrot cake, Chocolate cake, Sponge cake
Tarts - Milk tart, Lemon tart, Baked Cheesecake
Lamination - Croissants, danishes, extras (3 day dough)
Sweets / Chocolates -Pralines, Nougats, Turkish delights, Macaroons
Ice cream and sorbets
House yummy (own ice cream, milkshake syrups, bar snacks)
Upon completing a lesson, you will be able to use those recipes and twist them in your own unique way. I will show you how to use one recipe to create a vast variety of products and flavours.
