Hi, I’m Allison! With a Biology degree, a Math minor, and over five years of experience tutoring advanced math and sciences, I know how to make challenging subjects feel achievable. My background has given me a deep understanding of how to adapt my lessons to fit each student’s needs. I take a patient, step-by-step approach that emphasizes true understanding rather than quick memorization. By using real-world examples, I help students connect abstract math and science concepts to everyday life. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual learning style and academic goals, ensuring that they not only grasp the material but also feel more confident in applying it.
I bring over five years of professional experience in one-on-one and small group tutoring grades 7th through 12th, supporting students in building both skills and confidence. My supportive teaching style helps students reduce stress, tackle test anxiety, and achieve measurable progress. I tutor math subjects including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry, as well as sciences such as Biology, Ecology, General Science, and introductory to mid-level Physics.
I am happy to assist college students in any of these courses, as well.
