About Bolu
I'm a scientist, an educator, and community engager! I have been published in >10 peer-reviewed journals and I value the impact of storytelling in scientific settings. I also have a background in Anthropology and creative writing and I especially enjoy guiding my students from idea inception through to successful execution! I love teaching and helping students grasp concepts using topics and language that interest them! I have taught from the high school to medical school levels and I take pride in helping my students take ownership of their learning! My approach is always student-focused and I work on complex topics to everyday life questions about biology. I use real-world examples and incorporate multimedia resources to enhance my lessons and promote understanding. My goal is to inspire a passion for science and learning, and keep things exciting for my students! I have 10+ years of experience in teaching and I always look forward to the "aha!" moments my students experience.
