About Teresa
My tutoring and instructional experience began during my undergraduate career where I volunteered as a tutor for elementary school students as well as in an official capacity with my university. My graduate training also offered me mentorship opportunities that further honed my teaching skills. I think it's important for students to feel comfortable, allowing them to think of learning as an exploration and something that is exciting. Feeding that sense of curiosity and taking away the stress, as much as possible, is my favorite part of tutoring.

I like to tailor my approach to the needs of the student, but in general, I use a combination of visual aids and active recall lessons. I've worked with students from elementary to graduate level. I believe an adaptable mindset allows me to help my students progress no matter their starting point.
