About Serena
I have been a math tutor for over six years and have also taught classes at Spirit of Math (a program like Kumon). As a PhD student, I have taken math from elementary to IB in high school up to the undergraduate level, and have extensive teaching experience as well. I love helping students who need it, and getting them to tolerate, if not love, math.

I base each session on the individual needs of a student– the specific topics and types of questions you need help with, walking through the logic of each step, and how to remember it all effectively! I had to put in extra effort for a good math grade so I understand how to explain solving math problems in a way that's easy to digest. Teaching elementary, middle, and high school level!
