About Caitlyn
My name is Caitlyn and I am a PhD student based in Belfast researching anti-viral responses in Cystic Fibrosis and way that we can improve these to help limit respiratory infections in these patients and improve quality of life. I enjoy passing on basic scientific principles to others that once understood can be applied to many other aspects of learning and research. I have experience teaching undergraduate Biomedical science and anatomy along with genetics, biochemistry and immunology and hope to not only help you with your education but also spark an interest in the field to inspire a generation of future researchers.

I try to make lessons as interactive as possible encouraging students to discuss the topic in order to gain a thorough understanding of basic biological principles that they can apply to tackle any question rather than rogue teach, learn, regurgitate.I also like to go through past papers to help students to gain the skills needed to tackle such question and gainas many marks as possible. Lessons typically last 1 hour however, I am happy to finish the lesson when he student feels confident that they have grasped what has been covered in the session.
