About Oisin
I hold an MA in Philosophy from the University of Galway, where I researched and wrote on AI and ethics and organized an international philosophy conference. I have five years of teaching experience, so I know how to explain a hard idea clearly and how to help someone build their own argument rather than borrow mine.
I read widely across the Western tradition and Eastern philosophy, and I have spent time studying contemplative traditions first-hand while living across Ireland, Spain, France and Vietnam. Whether you need to pass a module or simply want to think more clearly, I can help.

I offer one-to-one philosophy tutoring for two kinds of learner.
If you are a university student, I help with the things philosophy modules actually demand: building a clear argument, structuring an essay, unpacking difficult texts and thinkers, preparing for exams, and sharpening your critical thinking and logic. We work on your material and your deadlines, not a generic syllabus.
If you are an adult or general learner, I help you read the great philosophers with a guide — from Plato and the Stoics through to Nietzsche and Eastern philosophy — at your own pace, with someone to open up the ideas and talk them through. No prior background needed, just curiosity.
Lessons are online, one-to-one, anywhere. The first conversation is free, so you can tell me what you are working on and we can see if I can help.
