About Olivia
I am a Physics tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Physics (MPhys). My passion lies in biophysics and the physics of living systems. I have successfully guided students through complex topics such as molecular motors, membrane transport, nerve impulses, and biomechanics, helping them understand the physical principles behind life’s processes. I have worked with a diverse group of learners, including biology students, pre-med students, and anyone interested in the intersection of physics and biology. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into clear and manageable parts, making it easier for students to grasp how physics applies to the living world. My goal is to build confidence and curiosity in students as they explore these fascinating topics. There is a special joy in applying physics to uncover the intricate workings of biological systems. My teaching approach in Physics focuses on thermodynamics, heat transfer, states of matter, and gas laws. I believe in breaking down complex macroscopic behaviors into simple, clear steps. This helps students understand how energy moves and changes in different systems.
