About Talia
If physics ever feels intimidating or full of confusing equations, my lessons are here to change that. I use a warm, storytelling approach that turns complex concepts into relatable, everyday experiences. Together, we explore phenomena through simple experiments, historical discoveries, and discussions about the deeper philosophical questions physics raises.
My sessions are interactive and hands-on, featuring visual aids and demonstrations that make abstract ideas tangible. I help students from Olympiad competitors to aspiring medical physicists overcome apprehension and build real confidence. I’m a Physics tutor with over 8 years of experience and a BSc in Biophysics. My passion lies in applied optics, where I help students explore topics like fiber optics and microscopy. Together, we investigate light propagation and how total internal reflection enables high-speed fiber optic communications. I also guide students through lens design and the principles of image formation, using practical examples from telecommunications and biomedical imaging.
My lessons are hands-on and interactive. We analyze how fiber optics transmit data across vast distances with minimal loss, and how microscopes reveal microscopic structures essential to medical research. I’ve had the pleasure of mentoring aspiring engineers and future medical device developers, helping them bridge physics theory with real-world applications.
I focus on making complex concepts clear and engaging, combining visual demonstrations with conceptual discussions. Students gain both understanding and confidence, seeing physics not just as formulas, but as a tool to innovate. Together, we explore experiments, simulations, and case studies that connect optics to technology they encounter every day. I love fostering curiosity and problem-solving skills in each student.
