About Martin

I am a Conservatoire-trained pianist, conductor and teacher with decades of experience helping students of all ages and abilities realise their musical potential. Alongside teaching, I have enjoyed an extensive performing career, appearing throughout the UK and internationally as both a pianist and conductor. My work has taken me from the London O2 Arena to the Royal Albert Hall, collaborating with leading singers and music professionals along the way.
I teach Classical, Jazz, Pop, composition and music theory, and work with everyone from complete beginners to diploma-level students. My musical life has taken me around the world, but my greatest satisfaction comes from helping students build confidence, develop their skills and discover their own musical voice through lessons that are entirely tailored to their individual goals and interests. All ages and abilities are welcome.

About the lesson

I have a limited number of spaces available for piano students seeking high-quality, bespoke tuition. Whether you dream of playing Chopin, improvising jazz, performing your favourite pop songs, or composing your own music, I can help you achieve your musical goals. Lessons are tailored entirely to your interests, abilities and aspirations, creating a learning experience that is both enjoyable and rewarding. I teach Classical, Jazz, Pop, composition and improvisation, and music theory can be integrated into lessons where desired. Tuition is available for all levels, from complete beginners through to diploma standard, with support for all examinations if required. I am a Conservatoire-trained pianist and Conservatoire tutor with decades of teaching experience, I understand that every student learns differently. Lessons progress at your pace, building confidence, technique, musicianship and a lifelong enjoyment of music. It’s fun and friendly for all ages and abilities.
