About Maryjane
Pursuing an MD/PhD track at the University of Michigan provides me with a rigorous foundation for teaching complex chemical principles. I focus heavily on mastery of stereochemistry, NMR spectroscopy, retrosynthesis, and IUPAC nomenclature for my students. My classroom teaching and 12 years of private tutoring have taught me how to break down isomerism and SN1 or SN2 reactions into logical steps.
I also guide learners through elimination reactions, amines, radical reactions, and intricate synthesis pathways. Does your current study method align with the logic required for your upcoming exams?

Progress is measured by your ability to explain mechanism logic rather than simply memorizing 7.0 reaction steps. Pacing remains flexible to ensure concepts click before we advance to more difficult material.
These structured lessons rely on my 5 years of experience to target the reasoning that testing boards actually reward. I maintain a direct focus on exam content to ensure that your time is spent effectively.
You will receive immediate feedback on your problem solving process during every interaction. This creates a clear picture of where your understanding stands in relation to the syllabus requirements. Expect a straightforward critique of your work as we navigate challenging synthetic pathways together.
