About Marcus
Since graduating with a degree in music in 2011, I have enjoyed a rewarding career as a professional musician. I've performed all over the world, and have played with many talented artists and bands over the years. Most recently I performed with Sister Sledge last summer, which was a personal highlight for me! Music is so rewarding in many ways, and I love helping people find the joy that I get from playing. I teach professionals who want to improve their craft, and also complete beginners who are picking it up as a hobby. Even as a hobby, I've found that it can be a great way for people to take their mind off the stresses of daily life. I'm a pretty laid-back person, and I like to teach in an informal and relaxed way. I think it's important to nurture the passion and enjoy the process!

I tailor my lessons to your needs, whether it's music theory, technique on the instrument, or stylistic approaches to different genres. I teach in a relaxed manner, and will make sure that we learn at a pace which is comfortable for you. The most important thing is that you enjoy each lesson, as I believe playing music should be fun! Lessons will last 60 minutes, and I provide written notes after each lesson so that you have a clear understanding of the topics covered and what you will need to work on before the next lesson. I am based in North London and can provide lessons from my house. I am happy to travel to the student's house if they are within a 30-minute drive from me. Any ability and age are welcome!
