About Iona
I am extremely enthusiastic about creative writing, literature analysis, language structure, and grammar. I thoroughly enjoy helping young people develop their skills and hope I help them to find their subjects as enjoyable and interesting as I did, and still do!
I would like to form supportive, trusting relationships and networks that positively impact education. My long-term ambition is to become a published author.
My schedule is flexible, therefore I am able to commit significant regular time to tutoring. I find it extremely rewarding to dedicate my abilities to supporting others, and fulfilling that ‘big picture’ impact I’m pursuing.

I use a cumulative approach to learning, supported by visual aids to bring learning to life, creating an engaging tutoring session.
Each session will build upon the learning achievements of the previous session to ensure a strong foundation is expanded upon. This shows clear progression each time which is highly motivating!
I am flexible with my lessons, but typically lessons are between 50-120 minutes depending on the needs of the student.
I have tutored adults in literacy and grammar, as well as supporting students for 11+ exams and general skills. In a professional capacity, I have trained adults in VR and presentation skills.
I am able to tutor students of all ages and abilities.
