About Irena

Hey there! So glad you landed here.

I am an educator, public speaking coach, and performing artist with a BFA in Acting from York University, a Master’s degree in Performance, and extensive training in voice and performance. With over 12 years of experience teaching public speaking and communication, I help students and professionals develop confidence, express their ideas clearly, and connect meaningfully with an audience.

My teaching experience spans a diverse range of learners, including students, business professionals, doctors, psychologists, real estate agents, and writers. I combine practical communication strategies with acting techniques, vocal expression, storytelling, and performance skills to help individuals become more confident and engaging speakers.

Alongside my teaching and artistic work, I have experience in fundraising and mental health advocacy, including initiatives connected to CAMH and youth mental health. My background in education, fundraising, and the performing arts has strengthened my ability to communicate with diverse audiences, build relationships, and inspire others around meaningful ideas.

Whether I am teaching, performing, or supporting a cause, I am passionate about helping people find their voice, communicate authentically, and reach their full potential.

Public speaking doesn’t have to be scary or boring! My lessons are designed to help you build confidence, express yourself authentically, and enjoy the experience of speaking in front of others.

Through **hands-on activities, fun performance-based exercises, speech preparation, and personalised feedback**, you’ll learn how to organise your ideas, capture an audience’s attention, manage nerves, and develop a strong speaking presence. We’ll practise together, experiment with different techniques, and turn your ideas into presentations that make an impact!

My approach combines creativity, communication skills, and performance techniques to help you step outside your comfort zone, discover your strengths, and find your unique voice.
