About SIM
Hi, I’m Sim, a practising lawyer and a Master’s student at the University of Reading. Teaching, for me, is more than just sharing knowledge; it’s a way to connect with people beyond the courtroom. I find real joy in exchanging ideas, asking questions, and having meaningful conversations about just about anything; law, life, logic, or even the little things that make us human. I genuinely believe that teaching and learning are two of the most powerful forms of communication. In today’s fast-paced, AI-driven world, we’ve started to lose the warmth and depth of real student-teacher relationships. Through my teaching, I try to bring that connection back; one conversation, one curious question at a time.

A human connection in the world of AI, I believe learning should be fun, engaging, interpersonal and something you actually look forward to! Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching people from all walks of life, ages 4 to 60, including police officers, future lawyers, construction workers, and even a super curious 4-year-old boy! I teach a mix of subjects like English, Maths, Science, logic, and even simple life lessons. Since I’m an avid reader, my classes often go beyond just the textbook. Don’t be surprised if we end up chatting about philosophy, psychology, or morality during a science lesson; it’s all connected, and it makes learning much more interesting! More than just teaching, I love connecting with my students. Many of them have become lifelong friends, and I think that says a lot about the kind of learning environment I create, which is open, thoughtful, and fun!
