About Leah
I received my English degree in 1997 and was awarded a 2:1. I began working in education in 1997 in the SEN department of an inner city secondary school. I began a PGCE in 2001 and qualified to teach post-16 in 2004. I then taught literacy and IT at a SEN college, where I became the Manager in 2005. I have taught 1-2-1 and in classes/groups ranging from 5-30.

I hold an English degree and have taught in schools and colleges for 20 years. I have experience of working with students with special educational needs and those where English is their second lanaguage. I am patient, like to make learning enjoyable and my aim is always to bring out the skills in the student and increase their confidence. I am happy to read through coursework and make suggestions on editing and also to prepare you for exams using tried and tested techniques. I am also a life coach so can help with setting goals and managing your time so you are able to prioritse.
