About Lily
Hello, my name is Lily and I am an experienced mathematics tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience. I am currently employed as a Mathematics teacher in NSW and hold a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Teaching. I am passionate about challenging the belief that mathematics is “hard.” With the right support and guidance, I believe all students are capable of meeting curriculum standards and developing confidence in their abilities. Mathematics is a powerful tool for understanding the world, and I strive to encourage students to become lifelong learners who continue to grow mathematically along their chosen paths. I am a calm, nurturing, and flexible tutor who is dedicated to making students feel supported and confident in their learning. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students can enjoy mathematics, build resilience, and develop a deeper understanding of key concepts. One-on-one tutoring allows for personalised instruction and close monitoring of progress. When students are guided through problems step by step, it is remarkable how quickly their confidence and engagement improve. All lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs.
