About Monica
I am a qualified teacher with a Master’s degree in Education and 10 years of experience working within the UK education and childcare sector. I have taught and supported children across early-years and primary-school settings, helping them develop their English, phonics, reading, writing, communication and general learning skills.
I am bilingual in Polish and English, which allows me to offer specialised support to Polish-speaking children learning English as an additional language. I understand the difficulties children may experience when adapting to an English-speaking school and can explain new vocabulary and concepts in Polish when helpful.
I can also be helpful to anyone who wants to learn English as Polish being his first language.

My lessons are carefully adapted to each child’s age, English level, interests and learning needs. I teach through stories, phonics, conversation, educational games, reading, writing, maths and creative activities, helping children learn naturally while building their confidence.
I particularly support Polish-speaking children who are beginning to learn English or need extra help understanding their schoolwork. As a fluent Polish and English speaker, I can explain unfamiliar words and concepts in Polish when necessary before gradually encouraging the child to communicate independently in English.
Each lesson has a clear learning objective and includes a mixture of explanation, guided practice and enjoyable activities. I provide patient encouragement and regular feedback to parents. My online lessons are suitable for early-years and primary-school children, including complete beginners and children learning English as an additional language.
