About Hannah
I qualified as a teacher over the summer and I have been giving private Mathematics tuition face-to-face through a KipMcGrath centre, teaching up to 4 students at a time. The students are all of vary different abilities and ages but the majority are there for extra support with their GCSEs. I also have experience teaching in Uganda, I taught in a nursery school for a full year, as well as teaching upper primary classes in trips of 2-3 months. As a result of this, the children showed a much greater depth of understanding and made good progress.

I give lessons to any age group below A-level.
My focus is always to promote depth of understanding of the material at hand. This is in line with the latests research, known as the mastery approach. This means using visual representations as well as higher-level questioning to develop understanding, instead of rigidly applying set methods. This has the advantage that changes in the exam will have minimal impact, the content is more applicable in real-world scenarios and becomes more memorable.
