About Joaquin
Hi, my name is Joaquin Delhey Peters, and I am a Year 12 student at John Monash Science School offering tutoring for VCE Mathematical Methods Units 3 & 4, as well as lower year levels.
In 2025, I achieved a raw 48 in Mathematical Methods, placing me in the top 0.7% of the state, alongside a perfect standardised score of 50 in Numeracy and Mathematics on the General Achievement Test (top 0.3% statewide).
Having recently completed VCE Methods, I have a strong understanding of the common difficulties students face and how to overcome them effectively. My lessons are highly interactive, with a strong emphasis on working through exam-style questions to reinforce understanding and identify gaps in knowledge.

My tutoring style focuses on developing strong problem-solving skills, rather than rote learning. This approach more closely reflects the demands of VCE Mathematical Methods and equips students with the tools needed to tackle unfamiliar and challenging questions.
Each tutoring session is directly tailored to the student’s needs:
- Lesson focus is discussed in advance
- Targeted worksheets are prepared for in-class or independent practice
- Increased emphasis is placed on exam-style problems and technique leading up to SACs and assessments for VCE students
- Lesson length is variable according to the student's needs
Tutoring is available online and in person in select regions (longer travel distances may incur additional fees). My base rate is $35 per hour for online tutoring. Although the advert only mentions being able to travel around Clayton, I am also based out of Dandenong North, so am willing to travel around that area as well, however available times may be slightly different.
