About Sam
I'm a recent University graduate who's just completed a year of teacher training, teaching a few classes a week (English Literature and Sociology) at a college. I've found that teaching full-time isn't what I want just yet, so I'm working in temporary/part-time jobs for a year of flexibility. However, teaching is so rewarding that I want to continue tutoring to keep helping students achieve their goals.

Teaching is best when the tutor knows the student's strengths, weaknesses, goals and working style. Therefore, while I've had experience teaching larger classes, I prefer tutoring 1-1.
I am looking to tutor AS or A-Level students in English Literature who are eager to improve their writing style, to help them achieve their goals.
Having achieved my Master's in Literature and Culture means that I'd feel confident tutoring Undergraduate English students too.
My lessons will be tailored to help you achieve your academic goals, whether that's through close reading practice, essay writing tips, revision ideas or just helping to find your own writing voice as an English student.
