• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I always knew that I loved nothing more than deep thinking and seeing connections between ideas. But I developed a professional interest in philosophy and critical thinking in particular when I read Wittgenstein's writings after graduating from Engineering schools. Then, I pursued my graduate level education in Philosophy and Women's Studies.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I am passionate about the development of Western intellectual traditions and connecting those traditions to contemporary challenges that we face today. I believe that sustainable solutions to our contemporary problems always come from familiarity with thought traditions from the past and being able to critically analyze them from different angles.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  What I like the most about tutoring is helping my students improve their writing by improving their understanding of core material that might sound confusing at first. Clarifying ideas and learning how to communicate them effectively is an invaluable life skill that I would like to help my students learn.
  
  I also really enjoy witnessing how my lessons help my students move from intimidation and confusion to confidence and joy in the process of learning complex philosophical ideas and choosing how to put them together clearly.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  Yes, I have multiple role models who have been my teachers or coaches in the past. One of my role models was a philosophy professor I had who inspired me to engage with pragmatist philosophy and the other was a life coach I had who inspired me to put pragmatist philosophy in practice.

• What are your keys to success?

  I think the keys to my success are believing at a deep level that I can handle any challenges that come up and that I am willing to do what it takes to become the kind of person that I want to be. I have also had amazing mentors and teachers that helped me develop my ideas much faster and more effectively.
