About Patricia
I first found my aptitude for tutoring biology in college while teaching friends new ways of approaching and learning biology. As a first-generation college student myself who now has 3 degrees and is accepted to medical school, I believe every person deserves the chance to prove themself in higher education. I wish to be that person for my students who they can look up to as inspiration to keep pushing forward, while also instilling in them the correct ways of studying and learning to prepare them to be the best biology student they can be!

My teaching method revolves around teaching students how to properly study and store biology material for long-term memory use. I am a very hands-on learner myself and so I like to teach students about biology by drawing out the mechanisms, pathophysiology, etc. Biology, and specifically human anatomy and physiology, is my passion and I hope to instill some of this passion for biology in my students... biology is fun! I do have a master's degree in community engaged medicine and a bachelor's degree in biological sciences, therefore I am equipped to tutor biology at all levels of education.
