About Nitya
Hi, I'm Nitya! I'm currently completing a Bachelor of Computer Science at RMIT University, with a strong interest in AI, cloud computing, and software engineering. I've spent the last two years as a Peer Mentor and Student Mentor at RMIT, helping students work through Math, Algorithms, and programming concepts they were stuck on. I love teaching because I still remember what it felt like to be confused by a concept until someone explained it in the right way — and I want to be that person for you. Whether you're a complete beginner or just need a confidence boost, I'm here to make Math and coding feel a lot less intimidating.

I love breaking complex problems down into manageable, easy-to-handle parts — that's the core of how I teach. Don't expect spoon-feeding from me, though! While I'm always happy to explain even the simplest topics from scratch, I ask that you come to a session knowing what your problem actually is and what you've already tried to solve it — that's how real progress happens.
Standard lessons run for 1 hour, with a 90-minute option available for coding sessions or project work where a bit more time helps to properly work through a problem.
I've been a Student Mentor at RMIT University for the past 6 months and a Peer Mentor for 2 years, supporting students across 4 subjects including Maths and Algorithms & Analysis. I'm currently completing a Bachelor of Computer Science at RMIT, with hands-on experience in Python, Java, and C++.
My lessons are beginner-friendly and open to learners of any age — whether you're just starting out or want to strengthen your fundamentals in Maths or programming.
