About Lusine
I’m currently studying Data Science at university, with a minor in Mathematics. Before university, I graduated from a specialized Math-Physics school, which gave me a strong foundation and, somehow, made me enjoy mathematics enough to keep studying it voluntarily :)
I’ve been tutoring mathematics for around two years, including SAT Math and school mathematics. I’ve also participated in mathematics olympiads and continue exploring new areas of mathematics beyond my university studies.
But I don’t think everything has to be about math. I’m a pretty easygoing person, and I like keeping my classes friendly and comfortable, you don’t have to be afraid of saying “wait, what?” five times in a row. I’m here to make math feel understandable, not intimidating.
I believe a good tutor should be a learner too, so I’m constantly learning, experimenting with different ways of explaining things, and finding new problems that make me think

My classes are online, friendly, and structured, with a professional approach to learning. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and telling me when something doesn’t make sense.
I focus on understanding how and why something works rather than simply memorizing formulas or learning one specific type of problem. Once you understand the idea behind a concept, you can apply it to unfamiliar problems instead of relying on memorized steps.
A typical lesson depends on the student's level and goals. We might start by reviewing previous material, learn a new concept together, and then practice it through different types of problems. I also pay attention to mistakes and gaps in understanding, because sometimes one small missing piece can make an entire topic feel difficult.
For SAT students, we work not only on the mathematics itself but also on recognizing problem types, choosing efficient approaches, and developing the confidence to solve unfamiliar questions independently.
I teach middle and high school mathematics as well as SAT Math, and I work with students at different levels, including those who feel they don't have a strong math foundation.
What matters most to me is that what you learn doesn't disappear after the test or the school year. I want to help you build a strong mathematical foundation and problem-solving skills that you can continue using in future studies and beyond
