About Nav

A dedicated tutor with extensive experience (7 years) in tutoring and academic support, I have successfully helped numerous students achieve their academic goals. My approach to tutoring is highly personalised, focusing on understanding each student's unique needs and learning style. Whether you need help with a specific subject, exam preparation, or general academic guidance, I am here to provide the support and resources you need to excel. I hold both a BSc and an MSc in Biomedical Sciences, during which I developed a strong foundation in scientific research and critical analysis. My professional journey includes working as a scientist in Cambridge, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience in cutting-edge research and laboratory techniques. Currently, I am a medical student, dedicated to furthering my expertise in the medical field. In my spare time, I actively contribute to research with the Surgery Beyond Borders organisation, focusing on advancing surgical practices and healthcare accessibility. Additionally, I serve as a student medical reviewer with Oxford University Press. I currently tutor a few students privately and through the tutorfair foundation group. Please see my YouTube channel to see my teaching style.

My teaching methodology centres on personalised and adaptive learning, ensuring each student's unique needs and learning style are addressed. A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material to reinforce understanding and identify lingering questions. This is followed by introducing new concepts through engaging explanations and interactive discussions. I use a variety of teaching tools, including visual aids, practical examples, and real-world applications, to make the content relatable and easier to grasp. Students will participate in hands-on activities and practice exercises to solidify their understanding. I believe in providing immediate feedback and tailored guidance to help students overcome challenges and build confidence in their abilities. Throughout the lesson, I encourage questions and active participation to foster a collaborative learning environment. Key information students need to know: -Lessons are customised to align with their individual goals and learning pace. -A strong emphasis is placed on understanding core concepts, not just rote memorisation. -I incorporate diverse teaching techniques to cater to different learning styles. -Regular assessments and progress reviews ensure continuous improvement and adaptation of the teaching approach. By prioritising personalised attention and innovative teaching strategies, I aim to make learning enjoyable and effective, setting my method apart from traditional tutoring approaches.
