I am a Biochemistry student but got my start in Biomedical Engineering. I switched to Biochemistry as a Junior but have taken all my math and chemistry classes. I tutored SAT Math to High School seniors my fall semester and have tutored off and on for three years. My students saw significant improvement with their math scores

Typically for the SAT math section; I would first have the student read through the section, attempt the questions, and go over any concerns they had. However with other more difficult subject levels like calculus concurrent instruction is sometimes required. I've found with these upper level subjects it can sometimes be more frustrating than helpful to have students first attempt to learn the material independently.
