About Saio
I have 10 years' experience as a university lecturer in Politics and IR, 9 of which at King's College London, where I teach on its Foundation Programme in Global Politics. I've helped many students who felt overwhelmed, felt over it, or didn't see the point of their assignments - and I've also helped many students at the top of their game achieve their full potential.
This year I was promoted to Senior Lecturer at King's College London thanks (among other things) to the consistently excellent feedback students give me and my success rate in helping students improve.
I have a PhD in Political Science (Queen Mary University of London, 2015) as well as a Master's degree in International Development (University of Bristol, 2010) and a BA Hons in International Relations (UWE, 2008).
I am a Fellow of Advance HE, which is a UK accreditation for teaching the Higher Education sector. I have been a supervisor for students writing Undergraduate dissertations and Master's dissertations in Politics and IR.
I am co-author of the book Prefigurative Politics: Building Tomorrow Today (2020).
