About Catherine
I have a BA in history from an academic liberal arts college with a minor in education. I have two advanced degrees from Ivy League Universities both in education fields. Throughout my education I also gained over a decade of practical teaching experience. I have worked with students from the age of pre school through early college years. I have acted as a teaching assistant, teacher, AP instructor, and school administrator. I am passionate about teaching and helping others find relevancy in social studies.

The goal of my lessons are to understand the unique needs of each student and create a learning plan tailored to their needs. I focus on skill based education that centers around critical thinking and personal development. My goal is to create practical lessons based in content that I love and find exciting. However, I recognize history is not for everyone! I try to make it feel relevant, current, and help students identify things that they can connect with.
