About Charlie
Hello! I am a specialist tutor in English and Drama / Theatre Studies who focuses on transforming written technique. I will be completing my Masters in Creative Writing part-time at Cambridge next year and hold a First-class Joint Honours Degree in English Literature and Drama from the University of East Anglia. I also prepare students for entrance exams, scholarships and UCAS applications, honing interview skills alongside curricular studies. I am a full-time tutor and will be continuing to work with students in London during my postgraduate study.

I prefer a relaxed but engaging approach that helps my pupils to apply their knowledge with confidence. I focus
on essay-writing and exam technique, providing a clear strategy for each pupil I work with. I firmly believe in
bringing a subject to life by teaching it through the world of the tutee, so as to ensure its relevance. Central to my
approach is that sessions should always be fun whilst continuing to address the issues at hand.
I am able to teach in students' homes within London or online. I also offer tuition to students who live further out,
as long as the parent or guardian is happy for the student to meet halfway.
I always offer a 30 minute free consultation before beginning sessions where we can discuss your goals and
expectations (this is indicated as 50% off of the first session).
