About Sage
To most, I may seem like a nerd, but I know, as well as anyone that school can be boring! When I was younger, I struggled with procrastination and paying attention to long drawn-out lessons. So, I invented ways to have fun! Though I wrestled with certain attention issues in the past, I have always been a very dedicated student, never allowing them to stand in the way of excelling at my work. I graduated both high school and college with straight A's and was inducted into the oldest academic society in America. I believe you can do it too! I've been a tutor for my peers and an essay editor since high school, tutoring for both the advanced and regular courses offered at my school. As the intern for the Linguistic Anthropology department at Vassar College, I hosted weekly office hours where I met with students who had trouble with certain concepts, diagrams, and vocabulary from their courses. Together, we conjured mnemonic devices, composed songs, cloud-gazed diagrams, and engaged critically with the course materials to ensure comprehension, not just memorization. I am driven by my students' lightbulb moments and the satisfaction of watching their hard work pay off. As a tutor, I am very adaptable to your methods, but extremely committed to your success, walking with you every step of the way!

With students, I encourage them to explore their curiosities and harness laughter, comedy, and creativity to improve their learning, memory, and writing skills. I begin our lessons asking about your goals and interests, and design a plan around what works best for you. Sometimes, we need a little bit of extra help and I am here to walk with you every step of the way.
