I believe that there is no set way in which learning can be carried out so I will work with both the student and parent in order to find the best approach for the students needs. However with subjects like maths ensuring that the theory is explained well and in the best way for the student to understand and then application of this theory through practice questions tends to be the best way to improve.
Available to tutor students studying National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher Maths. I am currently a 2nd year student studying a Masters in Chemical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. My degree applies my knowledge of mathematics and I use the skills that I developed while studying these subjects at school in my daily studies.
While in high school I was a peer mentor working with a 1st year science class helping individuals and the class as a whole explaining aspects of the teaching that pupils did not understand and ensuring that work was being completed. I also scribed for an individual in a Higher maths class while doing tis I was also explain parts of the course that they did not understand and working with them to complete problems set by the teacher.
Qualifications: Pass with Distinction 1st Year Chemical Engineering Degree (currently in 2nd Year); Advanced Higher Maths (A), Physics (A) and Chemistry (B); Higher Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Spanish and English (AAAAB)
