Basically, I wasn't very good at math, I got really bad grades then one day in my penultimate year of high school, the teacher came into the class (class of 8 people) and told us that If you are not able to have the average, leave and go to literature. And that he only trusted one person in the class, the only person who got an average on his test. From there I promised to show what I was capable of, I got to work, I got grades he couldn't believe and towards the end of my last year, one day I brought him an exercise that he himself was incapable of solving. He told me that it's good at this level I am sufficiently ready and should no longer do such complicated exercises because it is beyond my level. This little anecdote is just to tell you that you are more capable than you think. The job pays hugely and don't think that those who get good grades in math, it's innate to them. Ask them, they will tell you how many sleepless nights they have. It’s resilience that makes the difference

We learn best by doing. The most important thing would therefore be to encourage learners to do a lot of exercises and create this confidence which will encourage them not to hesitate to ask me questions. For this, the humility of the tutor is basic. I think I will be able to help students who are in their first year of university as well as those in CEGEP or high school. The best lesson plan is to follow the one established by the class the student is in. So if we don't do it, the student won't find any interest given that he or she will be lost every time he or she goes to class.
