About Beau
I've been a biology nerd since my teen years. That was when I first started asking questions about the world that a lot of the adults around me couldn't answer. Questions like "How does water get from the roots of a tree into the leaves?" or "How does oxygen get circulated in the blood?"
That curiosity carried me through my undergraduate biology degree with a 4.0 GPA. It also got me through a PhD program that focused on microbial community interactions for biotech. If you're looking for someone whose excitement to learn is contagious, look no further.

I like to meet a student where they're at. What gets them interested in learning?
Do they like to see videos of electron transport chains?
Will drawing the Citric Acid Cycle help them remember their biochemistry?
What helps them connect with a topic?
At the beginning of a session we will review where they are in a class, what their stumbling blocks are, and what they want to achieve by the end of a session. Then we address what they need to know using the approach that works best for them. I can tailor this approach to work with students from high school to college, teenagers and adults. I would be happy to work with advanced middle schoolers as well.
